Your Role:
To support and provide an effective procurement service to operations and the Garrison in accordance with ADSL policies, processes and procedures.
Understand and support operations in the execution of procurement activities to deliver the goods, projects and services required in accordance with ADSL policies, processes and procedures.
Support supply chain activities such as supplier development plans in order to ensure an adequate supply chain is in place to satisfy materials, services, projects and overhead requirements working alongside the operational team(s) and the procurement lead(s).
Conduct spend and market analysis on suppliers to aid sourcing strategies.
Work with suppliers, and operational team(s) to ensure value for money and contractual obligations are met, while also assisting the operational team(s) in managing suppliers and escalating any issues concerning performance when necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications: Be a member of CIPS (or working towards MCIPS certification) and have a minimum of 3-years’ experience as a buyer in a materials procurement Role.
Experience: Have experience in managing procurement activities while working alongside operational teams, with strong understanding of utilising MRP systems, materials planning, sourcing, negotiation, and managing supplier relationships.
Skills: Possess is a high level of Computer literacy in MRP systems, business portals, and Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint. Commercially and financially aware, with a results-driven approach. Skilled in addressing procurement technical issues, demonstrating a strong knowledge of procurement systems and processes. A team player who's enthusiastic, positive and well organised, with excellent interpersonal skills able to build positive relationships with operations and staff. Be confident in abilities and approachable whilst consistently showing respect and tolerance.
Driving Licence: Full UK valid driving licence required.
