About You:
We are looking for a qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Business Analyst. You are a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with stakeholders across various teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive successful project outcomes .
About The Team:
The IIS Agile Operations team is focused on delivering projects using agile methodologies, ensuring fast, iterative development cycles and continuous improvement. The team works closely with stakeholders to analyse business requirements, translating them into actionable development tickets. They facilitate project progress through agile ceremonies while adapting to evolving requirements and feedback.
All team members will receive agile training within their first 12 months .
About The Role:
As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business requirements, processes, and workflows. Your role will be essential in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organisational objectives .
You will also play a key role in identifying process inefficiencies and recommending improvements, ensuring the business operates with maximum efficiency and effectiveness .
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering : Collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs and translate them into clear functional specifications.
Process Improvement : Analyse and document workflows, identifying areas for optimisation.
Stakeholder Communication : Engage with internal and external teams, ensuring clarity and alignment.
Data Analysis & Reporting : Collect and interpret data to support decision-making and drive business insights .
Agile Delivery : Work within an Agile framework, translating requirements into JIRA tickets for development teams.
Documentation : Create process flow diagrams, business requirement documents (BRDs), gap analyses, and risk logs.
Collaboration : Work closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers, and Senior Leadership .
Testing & Validation : Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations and technical feasibility.
Requirements
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Qualifications:
o A degree in Business, Economics, IT, or a related field .
o BCS Business Analysis certification (preferred but not essential).
* Experience:
o Minimum 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst role.
o Proven experience working in agile teams with a strong understanding of Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
o Hands-on experience with JIRA (preferred but not essential).
o Strong experience with business process mapping, user journey documentation, and gap analysis .
o Experience working in secure government operations or policing is desirable but not essential.
* Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge of business process modelling and requirements gathering.
o Experience using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft Office Suite .
o Ability to analyse and present business intelligence insights .
* Soft Skills:
o Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
o Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
o Excellent time management and organisational skills .
o Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities .
* Additional Qualities:
o Ability to pass SC clearance. (5 years consecutive stay in the UK, relevant right to work etc)
o Must be customer-facing and confident in leading discussions with stakeholders.
o Willingness to travel to the office at least once per week (preferred 3 days) .

Our Process
Our talent acquisition team will be in touch if you're successful, the team will arrange a short screening call (max 30 minutes) to learn more about you, and what you are looking for and answer any questions you may have. If all goes well, the team will share your profile with the hiring manager for review. Our interview process is tailored to each role but typically the first half of the process is run remotely with a final stage on-site.
For this position, you can expect a two-stage interview process:
1st stage - An informal 30-minute video call with the hiring team to discuss your skills and relevant experience. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the role and ask any questions.
2nd Stag e – A 60-90-minute formal interview where you can anticipate competency and technical questions.
