Job summary The Hillingdon Hospital wishes to appoint one Registrar to work in the General and Colorectal Surgery unit for Mr Slesser (Consultant Colorectal Surgeon). This is an exciting time for the trust has we have acquired a dual console Davinci XI and are expanding our department. The job is aimed at an experienced registrar who is wishing to improve their ability to undertake minimally invasive colorectal cancer surgery or to develop an interest in abdominal wall reconstruction using advanced component separation techniques before obtaining a consultant post. This is a replacement post as the current registrar has recently obtained a Consultant post. As such it is expected that the candidate will be looking for some autonomy and has a keen interest to improve their surgical skills. Demonstrates competence and ability to manage outpatient clinics, partake in the AWR mdt, have an ability to undertake standard general surgery operations and to be comfortable managing a busy on call. At present, this post does not have educational approval and is therefore a service post. This post is not recognised for training and full registration with the GMC will be required to undertake this position.
