The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) is a network of over 250 performing arts academies across the UK with over 16,000 children and young people attending our classes every week.
Through our ethos ‘Be Yourself, Be Amazing’ we celebrate individuality in everyone, from our students, Principals, teachers and academy teams, to our HQ team. We operate a franchise-model business, with our Principal operating their businesses under licence.
We are looking for a Local Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Local Marketing Manager will work with PQA Principals (licensees) throughout their business lifecycle to help grow the number of students attending their academies. Guiding and focusing local marketing activity, delivering training, developing and implementing marketing plans, the Local Marketing Manager will ensure that Principals are marketing in the most efficient and effective ways.
Responsibilities
1. Working with PQA Principals to create local marketing plans, through 1-2-1 meetings and small group meetings.
2. Coaching and supporting PQA Principals to effectively implement local marketing plans and recruit new students to academies.
3. Managing the launch marketing of new academies and sessions.
4. Working with the Marketing Executive to facilitate media buying for local and launch activities supported by HQ.
5. Working closely with the Regional Business Managers, ensuring a collaborative approach to supporting the Principal network.
6. Design and deliver online and face to face marketing training and resources, to upskill and empower PQA Principals.
7. Working with the Content Marketing Manager to ensure PQA Principals understand and follow an effective, on brand and consistent social media approach.
8. Collate and prepare regular communications to the network on behalf of the marketing team.
9. Working with the Marketing Manager, managing the local marketing fund to ensure that marketing support is given where needed to grow student numbers.
10. Set up and manage effective local Meta campaigns.
11. Measure, analyse and report on the effectiveness of local marketing activity.
12. Attend Principal events such as the annual conference and regional meetings.
13. Working with design team to create marketing material for local marketing activities, ensuring brand consistency across all local marketing.
14. To ensure that all academy web pages are up to date and accurate.
15. Managing academy online presence, including Google and Bing business listings.
16. Supporting Principals with brand compliance throughout the Principal network.
17. Supporting the marketing team in the day-to-day duties, responding promptly to Principal and HQ queries.
Essential Skills and Experience
1. Broad marketing experience including experience of both digital and offline marketing.
2. Experience of working with Franchisees/Licensees/Small Business owners.
3. Excellent communication skills, with an ability to take a coaching approach.
4. Confident training and presentation skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
6. Experience of creating and implementing local marketing plans.
