Job Summary
As our first-ever Operations Manager, you'll be a key player in our small agency's growth and success. We're looking for someone ready to step up, take on challenges, and lead our operations with passion and ambition. This role isn't just about managing people and processes - it's about being a core part of our journey, helping us and our clients grow.
We welcome candidates who feel stuck in their current role and are looking to take the next step. If this would be your first time as an Ops Manager, but you have the experience to back it up - please apply.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Deliver the services our clients pay us for while building and implementing processes for ongoing internal improvement.
2. Ensure that ongoing SEO projects, new website builds, or paid social campaigns are executed as planned, with continual optimisations for improvement and results.
3. Have an active role in strategic areas of our work, e.g., creating compelling headlines and ad copy, reviewing SEO articles, etc.
4. Collaborate closely with employees and contractors across the agency to improve workflows and deliver better results.
5. Conduct ongoing testing of strategies across all areas of our work, constantly improving our learnings and client results.
6. Lead and optimise daily operations to ensure smooth project delivery.
7. Ensure the quality of work (creative and copy) meets a high standard. Experience with Canva at a high level would be an advantage.
Strategic Responsibilities:
1. Develop and refine operational processes that align with our agency environment and goals.
2. Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
3. Be hands-on, working alongside your team to solve challenges and innovate.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Hire and onboard new resources to your team as we hit our quarterly goals. Experience in recruitment and termination processes would be an advantage.
2. Work alongside our founder to complement his sales and client management focus.
Qualifications
1. Strong background in digital marketing fundamentals (e.g., web/lp design and development, CRO, SEO, Google Ads, Paid Social).
2. Experience in a digital marketing agency with a solid understanding of local business needs and community values.
3. Ambitious and driven, ready to grow with us and take on new challenges.
4. Strong project management experience, delivering multi-layered marketing strategies with deadlines.
5. Hands-on, proactive, and ready to contribute at all levels, from strategic planning to day-to-day execution. This is not a role where you will simply direct a team - you will actively execute alongside your team to set an example and ensure client deadlines and goals are met.
Our Business
We are not like the others. We are a deliberately small, dynamic, and ambitious marketing agency, ruthlessly dedicated to helping local businesses succeed. Our dedication to local business is a deeply held core value. We have no interest in working with global brands or multinational clients.
We put the success of our company ahead of individual employee ambition - because if the company wins, we all win.
We take a client-first approach. We don't charge for every 15-minute block of time spent tweaking a website. If we can help, we do help. Giving free advice comes with zero expectation of future payment.
We are dynamic in how we resource our team, ensuring we balance our client goals with our own, leveraging internal EA support to help with processes, hiring offshore resources (e.g., SEO research and content writing), and leveraging our satellite office in Dubai.
Joining our team means becoming part of a small, supportive, innovative, and fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact both our agency and the local businesses we serve.
