Job Description Leading Sky’s high-performing team, the Head of Forward Logistics & Fleet plays a pivotal role in delivering our products to our customers across the UK & Ireland. Reporting to the Group Operations Director, this role is accountable for all forward logistics warehousing and transportation for Sky Broadband, Sky Q, Sky Glass, Sky Mobile, Sky Business and much more, as well as fleet management for over 3,000 vehicles (Sky engineer 3.2T vans, company cars and salary sacrifice electric cars). What You'll Do You’ll empower and lead our third party partners to deliver brilliant services in an efficient way, supporting business change, and driving the sustainability agenda in the supply chain. Overall leadership of the Forward Logistics & Fleet team, responsible for continuing to build, develop and maintain a best in class function with a high performing team of motivated individuals. Setting and delivering the team strategy, solutions, priorities and governance to support Sky's overarching vision, new products and change. Ensuring the UK and Ireland supply chains have resilience, continuity plans and flexibility to adapt to issues. Responsibility for and coordination of the warehouse and transport operations in UK and Ireland, ensuring Sky’s operational partners are delivering the expected service levels. Plan for and lead a continuous improvement and best practise programme, gaining senior stakeholder support and resources to develop and implement change. Responsible for the budget and costs of all operations, understanding the numbers behind our operations, and being able to use them to tell a story (the “what” and the “so what”) and drive savings. Keep abreast of changes in legislation and requirements relating operations, products and the movement of goods, and ensure that the supply chain is adhering to all elements. Ensuring policies, processes and controls are in place; experience of operating under Sarbanes Oxley is advantageous. Explore innovation and new service opportunities, and implement where appropriate. Ensure our carbon, circular economy and human rights commitments are on track to deliver before 2030. What You'll Bring Demonstratable experience of leading warehouse and transport operations, and delivering in a fast-paced environment. Able to understand the detail but lead by delegation and empowerment. Practical experience of identifying and implementing innovation and projects, ensuring successful delivery where there are competing business priorities. Excellent supplier relationship and performance management skills, with proven ability to deliver stretching KPIs and objectives. Excellent communicator with confidence and gravitas when talking to senior stakeholders and to lead, motivate and develop a high performing team. Multi million pound budget management experience, and demonstratable cost saving initiatives; commercially astute. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills; able to translate data and big ideas into actionable plans. Pragmatic problem solver who can lead a team through to resolution. A natural self starter who can work autonomously but also build relationships and collaborate with teams across the business. A leader who can inspire and coach remote teams, leading them through the changes created by an evolving product portfolio and business strategy.
