THE ROLE This is a Full-Time Contract Role (36hrs per week). The Content Strategist & Writer is an integral part of the team, supporting the content marketing we do for our agency clients. You’ll be joining a team of skilled content strategists and designers to brainstorm, research, and execute high-quality digital content for our clients and us You’ll gain lots of real-world experience learning about and writing for a range of different client industries, including consumer-facing tech start-ups, educational non-profits, B2B software brands, media companies, tech for good and more. A DAY IN THE LIFE As a Content Strategist & Writer, here's what your work will look like: For both clients and LH internally, you will: Collaborate with the content strategy team to create great Content Calendars, Briefs and Content Perform in-depth research before putting figurative pen to paper (combining online sources, client reports, case studies, interviewing subject matter experts, etc.) Create high-quality, user-friendly digital content for specific audiences (our clients' target audiences range from Indian export entrepreneurs to heads of HR in Fortune 500 companies) Research each client in order to get a deeper understanding of their brand and ensure consistency in style, tone of voice, editorial guidelines, etc. Optimise content for SEO (primary and secondary keywords provided) Create supporting promo campaigns for organic and paid social activity Provide clear and descriptive design direction to designers to ensure custom graphics enrich and support copy Ensure timely communication with clients to keep them in the loop with projects, and submit work to clients for approval by deadline Proofread and edit your content as well as team member’s content before publication Stay on top of content operations within project management software (e.g. Forecast) and communication platform (e.g. Slack) Carry out UX copy writing for websites Create a user persona based off of desk research or ideally carry out your own primary user research with customer interviews THE PROFILE The Type of Work You’re Good At You have experience writing for different audiences. We’re particularly interested in folks who have written content for B2B SaaS and tech clients. You also have experience with a variety of types of content, such as long-form writing for whitepapers and e-books, UX writing for websites, blog posts, etc You’ll know how to research and nail Tone of Voice for the variety of clients that we work for You’re generally adaptable and able to tackle the variety of types of content that happen during Agency Life You know what great content looks like and how to write it, across all domains. You're an amazing researcher (i.e. you Google like a boss and use AI as a sparring partner) and know how to wade through the junk to find relevant and timely info from only the best sources Your organisational skills are excellent. You can keep track of deadlines, and you can move the final deliverable along through numerous stakeholder gates. We communicate and organise via email, Slack, Forecast, Google Drive, etc. (but you also set clear work-hour boundaries, stick to them, and communicate with the team). You’re genuinely excited about the work of growing a nascent creative agency. Collaboration : You are happy to work closely with many different kinds of stakeholders leading our client’s brands, as well as project managers, content teammates and the design team. You need to be good with juggling many types of collaborators. Step 3: The next step will be a paid readiness assessment task that should take roughly 3 focused hours of your time. We’ll pay each applicant £50 for completion of this task.
