YOUR ROLE
We are looking for a talented mid-level Sound Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge in ProTools and will be responsible for confidently running audio sessions both onsite & remote. This would be an ideal fit for a sound engineer with some established years of experience with a passion to grow their skillset and contribute as part of a wider post production team. This role requires a blend of creative flair along with a confident ability within the technical aspects of sound engineering.
Skills required for audio post production include editing, sound mixing, spot SFX & tracklaying and voice recording.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work and report into the Audio Lead to foster a strong team, undertaking audio projects scheduled for the sound team.
2. Confidently run audio sessions both onsite and remotely.
3. Help with studio equipment upkeep & troubleshooting, and assist with ongoing room maintenance.
4. Demonstrate the technical and creative vision to collaborate with project teams, as well as work independently, to achieve the best possible results.
5. Collaborate and work within current templates and workflows and be open to explore unique production processes and procedures.
6. Studio admin tasks such as studio sheets and timesheets.
7. Be innovative while adhering to client brand guidelines – and when creating new campaigns.
8. Improve working knowledge of other related audio post-production software and plugins.
9. Maintain quality control to ensure that all work meets the highest possible standards.
10. Demonstrate ability to set priorities while handling multiple projects.
11. Continuously explore cutting edge, current and unique production processes and procedures.
12. QC and prep incoming files for audio sessions and manage exports.
13. Assist with sound design and foley recording.
14. Help maintaining & cataloguing our sound library and creating new SFX.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
1. Mid level experience in an audio-post facility or similar background as a sound engineer.
2. Proficient in latest version of Pro Tools, S4 desk & DADman software.
3. Understanding of technologies used in the audio post environment including microphone setup, signal routing, source Nexus plugins and on site & remote recording.
4. Strong multitasking, problem solving, communication and client-service skills.
5. Experience in stereo mixing to different broadcast specifications.
6. Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
7. Experience with deadline-oriented short form projects.
8. Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
9. Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
10. Effective independent problem solving.
11. Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
12. Experience in sound design and music editing would be a bonus.
13. Previous experience in an audio transfer department would be a bonus.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Experience in ProTools.
* Flexibility to work onsite at any time.
* A solid understanding of audio tech.
