Job Details: QC Technician
Position Location: Swindon
Position Summary:
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a QC Technician to join our hardworking team. Your role will involve several tasks in the Microbiology Quality Control Department to support our efforts in life sciences research and diagnostics. This role involves working shifts 4 days on 4 days off.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine laboratory sampling and testing.
2. Complete documentation to company standards.
3. Ensure all work aligns with departmental procedures and cGMP.
4. Meet testing lead times, barring unforeseen circumstances.
5. Communicate optimally and proactively with site colleagues.
6. Implement health and safety procedures for personal and team duties.
7. Undertake additional tasks as the need arises.
8. Apply cGMP in all areas of work and business.
Health & Safety:
1. Understand and follow emergency procedures and safe systems of work.
2. Align with all EH&S requirements.
3. Promote safety behaviours in the working environment.
Experience:
1. Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above.
2. Minimum of 2 A-Levels (or equivalent) in science-based subjects.
3. Understanding of cGMP; training will be provided.
4. Previous laboratory experience required.
