Purpose of job This is a multi-disciplinary hands-on support role with a strong focus on the delivery of our internalcommunications strategy and activities. You will work closely with the Internal Communications Team to support the development and delivery of the internal communications strategy across all channels to inform and engage employees. This is an entry role would be highly suited to someone embarking on their marketing career or keen to move career paths - with excellent written English language skills, who is looking for a career in PR and Comms. Accountabilities Strategy and delivery Write, design and distribute regular internal newsletters, sourcing and drafting stories. Draft and create compelling copy (intranet articles, announcements, emails, presentations, video scripts and digital signage) consistent with communication objectives. Support the general maintenance of the firm’s SharePoint intranet and promote as the main channel for internal communications. Manage the firm’s digital signage content calendar, creating and publishing relevant messaging on TV screens. Create video content using video editing software for internal purposes. Support the organisation of internal communication-led events. Manage stock of merchandise to support internal networks to maintain a consistent brand. Measurement and feedback Monitor testimonial submissions and internal colleague recognition feed to highlight strong praise culture. Track and analyse open/read metrics via monthly intranet reports. Report on qualitative feedback received through colleague surveys and anonymous feedback tool. Support internal stakeholders with creating and distributing surveys. Brand implementation Work closely with the Internal Communications Team to ensure all our internal communications are consistent in tone of voice and represent Birketts as a high quality law firm with regional, national and international expertise. Build a strong brand advocacy among employees that promotes our values, mission and ambition of ‘Next Level Law’. Align internal messaging with the external public relations team. The candidate Related qualification in Communications / Marketing / English Language desirable (but not essential). Sound copywriting skills and editorial skills. Demonstrable experience in delivery of multiple work streams/ management of competing priorities. IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft suite (Microsoft SharePoint, Outlook, Word and Excel).
