Darul Madinah, an Islamic schooling system with centers throughout the UK, is looking to recruit a Teacher’s Assistant to join their enthusiastic and highly motivated team at Dar ul Madina. We are an OFSTED regulated nursery. We deliver the EYFS (key stage early learning stage) and the basic understanding Islamic curriculum to your child. The Role:
To support the teaching staff in the day to day running of Dar-ul-Madinah Nursery.
1. To contribute to the preparation and evaluation of learning activities for the children, according to the class teacher’s direction.
2. To contribute to the observation and EYFS assessment records of the children’s development.
3. To assist children with language development, particularly spoken language, through discussion and storytelling.
4. To engage children in learning activities linked to the curriculum.
5. To support children with individual needs.
6. To promote the inclusion of all pupils within the classroom and school.
7. To support the use of ICT in the classroom.
8. To ensure that that the ethos of the school is implemented, by providing an Islamic upbringing within the setting
9. Responsible for key children and their learning journals.
10. participate in the 7 mins Dars on Friday.
11. To provide regular feedback about the children to the teacher or other teaching assistants.
12. To be aware of school procedures and follow school policies, including Safeguarding Children.
13. To be aware of confidential issues and to keep confidences appropriately.
14. To contribute to the overall ethos, aims, and work of the school
15. To carry out other duties which may from time to time reasonably be required within the general level of responsibility of the post.
Essential Requirements:
NVQ Level 2 Childcare or equivalent
Full driving license and ability to travel long distances
Good Qur'an recitation skills
Fundamental and in-depth knowledge about Salah and its pre-conditions
Passionate about raising standards and achievements and providing the best possible Islamic education for all
Ability to work on own initiative and identify new
opportunities
Ability to relate well to young people and adults
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Participate in ongoing training for continued professional development (Organisational & professional)
Self-motivated, organised, and professional
Desirable skills:
Good standard of IT skills
Able to communicate in other languages
Fundraising experience and good connections in the Muslim community
