We are seeking a passionate and dynamic PBS Development Lead to join our team within a national high-quality care provider providing support across England, Scotland, and Wales. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, qualified PBS Practitioner with significant experience in delivering training or a qualified trainer or training manager with excellent knowledge of positive behaviour support and 3+ years experience delivering care and support under a PBS framework.
Main duties of the job
Roles and responsibilities for this role will include coordination, delivery, design, and management of specialist training courses. This candidate will also hold responsibility for our compliance to meet the RRN Training standards across the business. To include taking the lead on restraint reduction planning, prescribing, and reviewing physical interventions in partnership with the PBS Lead. This role works closely with the PBS Lead to implement the organisational PBS Strategy, embedding through systems and processes.

Salary: Up to £40,000 + Car allowance
Reports to: PBS Lead and Director of Quality
Key responsibilities:
* Accountable for ongoing training compliance against the Restraint Reduction Network Training Standards, achieved by;
* Being responsive to any developments of these standards and any other relevant frameworks and legislation
* Co-ordinating training sessions to meet business compliance needs, including managing and maintaining training calendars for all physical intervention courses
* Monitor, provide data and report on organisational use of Restrictive Practice and Physical Intervention training compliance
* Provide advice, guidance and mentorship to internal trainers
* Maintaining an up-to-date training needs analysis across the business
* Monitoring the quality of training delivery
* Advocate for restraint reduction and lead on reducing restrictive practice in line with the PBS Strategy through;
* Design and delivery of specialist training courses including but not limited to; Active Support, Autism, PACE, Trauma-informed Care, PBS and Practice Leadership
* Ensure any restraints or restrictive practices have been prescribed and are safe, proportionate and least restrictive as per the RRN guidance
* Developing operational frameworks and curriculum design to map against RRN standards
* Support learners through subject-specific qualifications including PBS Diplomas
* Provide practical coaching and support to staff around physical interventions in collaboration with the PBS lead and Practitioners
* Support operational teams to write and review personalized restraint reduction plans where restrictive practice is prescribed
* Promoting best practice through company-wide communication channels
* Support the PBS lead to embed PBS values into all systems and processes
Qualifications and Experience:
* Education:
o Essential: Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent/above
o Desirable: Level 4 or 5 Diploma in PBS or above
* Experience:
o Extensive experience delivering care within a PBS Framework or as a PBS practitioner. Experience in delivering training is essential, preferably with coordination and management of training
* Knowledge:
o In-depth knowledge of support needs of people with Autism, learning disabilities, and mental health disorders. Sound understanding of specialist subjects including PBS, Active Support, Practice/leadership, Mental Capacity and the restraint reduction network training standards.
* Skills:
o Proven leadership and coaching skills
