W&A are delighted to be working in exclusive partnership with a Fife based manufacturing business as they look to recruit for a FP&A Senior Manager – Europe.
This is a newly created role to help support the business's ambitious growth plans and will work directly with the European CFO.
The role will effectively look to build the FP&A function and provide first class MI & analysis allowing the business to operate on the front foot as it moves into a new phase of growth.
The role could suit someone moving up within FP&A as well as someone more experienced who perhaps wants to put their own stamp on the function. Ideally, you will have some Manufacturing or Engineering sector experience.
The ability to prioritise workload will be key, and there will be a huge amount of challenge and variety within the role with a touchpoint on several key areas within both finance and the wider business. The role requires someone with both the technical aspects required to perform the role as well as a strong business partnering skill set, as building relationships throughout the business will be essential to success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Look to build and develop a first in class FP&A function that can provide high quality MI & Analysis to the European business.
2. Take ownership and drive annual budget and forecasting process.
3. Build detailed modelling solutions that can provide real-time updates around factory efficiency, product and customer margins, costs as well as variance analysis and contingency planning.
4. Contribute to key strategic projects to drive business growth.
5. Drive Continuous Improvement in FP&A by identifying and implementing best practices, process enhancements and system solutions.
6. Support team needs and coordinate cross-functional efforts as needed to ensure efficient business processes are in place.
7. Investment business case and financial management.
8. Support on upcoming implementation of Oracle.
9. Build and utilise relationships with Global functions.
Background & Experience:
1. Qualified Accountant (CA/CIMA/ACCA).
2. Commercial accounting experience.
3. Ideally worked within Manufacturing or Engineering environments.
4. Enjoys working within the business as a strong value add partner.
5. Able to communicate and influence business decision making.
6. Strong analytical, influencing and problem-solving skills.
7. Proactive nature.
8. Strong reporting and presenter of key value add information.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days onsite and 2 from home. Over and above this, there is a large degree of flexibility built into the working hours to help individuals achieve a great work-life balance. There is also an annual bonus and further benefits attached to the role.
