We’re looking for an experienced Senior Credit Controller to join our finance team based in Manchester.
As Senior Credit Controller you will build and maintain effective relationships with a portfolio of clients to promote a high performing credit control service to the business which forms an integral part of our overall client service. You will be responsible for the line management of a team of three and you will be encouraged to learn and grow, take on new challenges and contribute fresh ideas. You will have experience in a similar, fast-paced role, ideally in a professional services environment e.g. planning consultancy, law firm, or accountancy practice.
Responsibilities include:
* Cash collection, query resolution, allocations and account management
* Accountable for the delivery of the team cash target and individual team KPIs; ensure the credit control team are maximising cash flow and keeping aged debt under control
* Liaise with fee earners and support teams to resolve invoicing queries
* Act as a point of escalation for all allocation issues, debtor files at risk and general support to the business in relation to debt
* Responsible for the up-keep of guides, training and the skills matrix
* Support and lead on process improvements where required
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience working within a fee earner/debt by matter environment
* Previous experience of leading a small credit control team, with excellent leadership abilities
* Worked with multiple currencies
* Excellent time management and attention to detail and will be target driven
* Strong communication skills working within a hybrid setting
* Experience of and be comfortable working with multiple systems
* A flexible and committed approach

Typically, our salary range for this role is £32-36,000 pa (plus benefits including flexible working allowance, medical insurance, pension, ownership dividend, performance-related bonus, life assurance and income protection).
