The Highways Asset Management Service is responsible for ensuring that Lancashire County Council meets its statutory duty as a highway's authority through strategic management of over 7,500 kilometres of vehicular highway network, containing 152,000 streetlights,15,000 illuminated signs/bollards, over 2000 bridges and other structures, together with many other highway assets. The Role & Responsibilities We are seeking a dynamic, thorough, pro-active and organised Investigations Technical Officer, who will support the Asset Management Performance and Information team and contribute to our organisation's success. For further details, the Highway Asset Management webpage can be found at: Highway asset management In Lancashire - Lancashire County Council This role will support the completion of investigation activities within the Asset Management team. This could include the completion of online, and physical in-person, searches, as well as researching and collating historical documents to sufficiently evidence an investigation (evidence which will then be used by the Asset Technical Officer to determine an outcome to the investigation). Researching and collating information and, under supervision, producing reports Liaising with other LCC teams to collate additional information Preparing / compiling sourced information into support reports using Microsoft Word Creation of basic dashboards using Microsoft Excel or similar (under supervision and guidance from senior officers) Dealing with enquiries and correspondence from other teams Records management (manual and electronic), including maintenance, retrieval and research Provision of support to senior officers Servicing meetings and taking follow-up actions / checking the progress of issues Application Supporting Statement Please note that when completing your personal statement, it's important that you have specifically demonstrated and evidenced that you meet each essential criteria from the person specification in line with the role responsibilities as detailed above.
