Your role as a PCO Learner Coach: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Prison Custody Officer (PCO) to join our team as a PCO Learner Coach. Reporting to the Justice Development Programme Lead, this role is pivotal in the onsite, day-to-day delivery of the Custody & Detention (C&D) development programme, ensuring that our PCOs receive top-notch training and support. In this role, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a focus on learning and development, delivering key elements of the curriculum and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions. You will assess and coach PCOs to meet both their individual needs and the broader business requirements set out by Sodexo. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with other SMEs to ensure the curriculum meets learning needs effectively. You will manage and produce data on the learners’, reporting on attendance and progress, while supporting the Justice Development Programme Lead in improving systems and processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to 40 PCOs, championing the C&D development programme, and driving engagement and management across the site. Working cross-site to ensure consistency and engagement, you will help manage internal stakeholder expectations and support them throughout the process. The Ideal Candidate: Essential : Must be a badged and experienced PCO, with a minimum of 1 year of experience. Keen interest in Learning and Development.
