Job Description
* Assign daily schedule to production/packaging personnel
* Aid in the direction of setups and adjustments of the machines
* Ensure ability to understand specifications, blueprints, and job orders
* Enforce safety regulations
* Evaluate individuals on an ongoing basis and identify training needs
* Adhere to companywide meetings or any adjustments approved by Director of Operations
* Observe working environment, quality, and quantity of workflow
* Manage temporary workforce and adjust to meet daily needs
* Interact on a regular basis with team members to aid in removing roadblocks for success
* Maintain records and time of all production personnel including sick and vacation time
* Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
* Compliance and participation in all Smiths Connectors EHS programs, policies, procedures, and training requirements
Qualifications
* High school degree/GED required; previous supervisory experience; Associates, Bachelors, or technical school degree.
* Effective oral and written communication skills
* Ability to understand unique equipment utilized in assembly
* Able to use analytical skills to plan and direct production systems process effectively
* Ability to manage and motivate others
* Ability to make sound decisions and accurate judgment
* Ability to set goals, objectives and prioritize and work in an organized manner
