The role
As a Survival Equipment Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Reporting to the Site Operations Manager (SOM), the Survival Equipment Supervisor (SE Sup) is to lead, supervise and ensure the provision of scheduled maintenance, repair and fitting of RAF and Company owned Safety Equipment and Aircrew Assemblies and all other survival equipment related tasks and activities to meet or exceed the customer and LAFT2 contractual requirements.
Day-to-day, you’ll actively support and promote a culture of Near Miss and Error Reporting, ensuring that all accidents and incidents are reported. Assisting in subsequent investigations, as well as:
* Actively support and promote Environmental, Quality, Security and Health and Safety standards as defined by both the customer and Babcock Policy.
* Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with the appropriate standards, practices, technical publications, and procedures by competent and authorised staff.
This role is full time and based onsite at Leuchars Station.
Essential experience of the Survival Equipment Supervisor:
* Formal Engineering Training in RAF Trade Group 13 or other Service / Industry equivalent.
* Experience in industry or the Armed Forces on full time Supervision of SE & AEA.
* Previous experience in SE & AEA.
* Knowledge or awareness of Military Engineering Publications, Documents and Procedures.
Qualifications for the Survival Equipment Supervisor:
* RAF Safety Equipment Course or civilian equivalent.
* Trade Qualification Annotations in the following: Q-SE-AC (Helmet Fitting) or AV-MED-SE.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC security clearance for this role.
