Senior Culinary Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Culinary Professional to join Compass UK & Ireland in central Edinburgh. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in managing the daily running of the kitchen.
* Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus, taking into account seasonal availability and customer preferences.
* Supervise and motivate a team of chefs to ensure high-quality food production, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
* Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
* A culinary qualification (e.g., City & Guilds or equivalent) and at least 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen environment.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen.
* Familiarity with HACCP procedures and food safety regulations is essential.
