JOB MISSION:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to support the execution of merchandising strategies to improve sales and profitability for the apparel category. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan the right product assortment for DTC channels and analyze market trends to drive informed decisions. Improve the customer experience and achieve business objectives. Additionally, provide admin support to the wider apparel team.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Assist in the development and execution of merchandising strategies to improve sales and profitability.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and optimize product assortments for DTC channels.
3. Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to advise merchandising decisions.
4. Track and analyze sales performance, finding opportunities to improve future assortment planning.
5. Assist in the forecasting of product assortments on a seasonal basis to align with sales and merchandising objectives.
6. Support on the completion of SMU programs by handling product briefs, inputting, and updating data into the SMU app and assisting in the overall SMU set up process.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
1. Experience in merchandising, buying, or product management.
2. Technical knowledge of apparel, including fabrications and composition.
3. Adept at managing relationships across different cultural nuances within EMEA and beyond.
4. Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration across different teams.
5. Strong administrative and system-focused skills.
6. Proven ability to work independently and be self-sufficient.
7. Familiarity with consumer insights tools is a plus.
8. Good knowledge of global consumer trends and key brands/retailers.
9. Effective product briefing skills, able to communicate consumer, design, and financial requirements. Ability to meet tight deadlines and achieve all merchandising achievements.
10. Strong analytical and numerical skills, proficient with key financial and merchandising metrics.
