Project Manager (262jc) – Remote, Midlands based covering the UK – up to £55k + car + Benefits
This client, one of the UK’s leading companies in Fuel Storage Solutions, is looking for a RE Pet Op SNCO or equivalent to join their expanding team due to increasing projects coming in the near future.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
You will be reporting to the Commercial Manager and will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and monitoring all aspects of specific projects, ensuring the safe delivery of projects relevant to your area of expertise.
Your role will have the following responsibilities:
1. Visiting clients to understand their needs and requirements and supplying accurate and commercially viable quotes.
2. Full project management of the works after the delivery of the quote and award of contract, including creation and delivery of project work plans and revisions as appropriate.
3. Identify resources and assign responsibilities, managing day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s).
4. Work with customers and suppliers to define and document questions, liaising with business and other stakeholders.
5. Submit project status reports to stakeholders; anticipate and react to changes.
6. Ensure all aspects of Health and Safety are factored in.
7. Regular project updates on CRM.
8. Ensure work is delivered within budget.
9. Conduct site visits as required and report on progress, ensuring milestone reviews and payments are completed and followed up.
10. Ensure all work is carried out safely and that rules, regulations, policies, and procedures are adhered to.
11. Understand, adhere to, and accept Risk Assessments and Method Statements, with the ability to complete Dynamic Risk Assessments.
12. Cooperate with line management to ensure compliance with site rules by personnel, contractors, and visitors.
13. Work alongside your team in the development of equipment, plant, and systems to improve safety, health, environmental and quality standards and operational efficiency.
14. Report faults on plant, equipment, and infrastructure and any other operational difficulties to a member of the line management team as they occur.
15. Carry out regular training when deemed appropriate and assist others with their training needs.
To be eligible for this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
1. IT Literate.
2. Active listener with strong interpersonal communication.
3. Strong decision-making capability.
4. Resource and time management.
5. Holding Prince 2, CSCS, or SMSTS is desirable.
6. Security Clearance (SC).
7. Ability to have overnight stays on occasion.
The ideal candidate would likely be a Pet Op with experience in the design and construction of fixed fuel facilities, probably coming from a Royal Engineer or RAF/RN equivalent background.
As a significant portion of their sites are on MoD bases, the ability to gain and hold SC Clearance is crucial; candidates with current SC clearance will have an advantage.
