What you'll be doing day to day
* Work closely with the audit principal to manage statutory audits for corporate and charity entities, both on-site and in the office
* Review audit files to ensure they meet quality standards
* Oversee complex work for partner review, addressing technical or entity-specific issues and recommending solutions
* Ensure compliance with quality management systems
* Lead client relationships and additional services
* Take a leading role in budgeting and commercial aspects
* Drive compliance with audit procedures across the team
* Engage in business development and identify opportunities with new and existing clients
* Manage the audit team, ensuring proper resourcing
* Oversee billing, WIP, and debtors
* Proactively manage projects
* Provide effective feedback to team members
About you
* ACA/ ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with relevant experience
* Post qualified, statutory audit experience gained in a practice environment
* Experience of group audits and preparing consolidated financial statements and compliance regulation
* Solid understanding of corporate financial reporting and company law requirements
* Good knowledge of bespoke audit and accounts software would be an advantage
* Full, clean driving licence, plus unrestricted access to a car (which must be insured to cover business use and the transport of passengers)
* Experience in using automated audit software and computer-based accounts and tax compilation programmes; plus advanced MS Excel, Word and Outlook skills
* Previous experience of managing and developing a team
