Learning and Development Specialist
Main purpose of the job
The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for the design and development of identified programs to support the business, overseeing the maintenance of the LMS and records of curriculum and materials, along with audits and training evaluation management. The full training cycle.
Main missions and results
1. Support the Head of Learning and Development in delivering the training strategy across the UK plants / organisation.
2. Oversee the design and development of identified programs to support the UK plants and Enabled Services.
3. Be active in the delivery of training sessions and programs to support the UK plants and Enabled Services.
4. Understand and advise on external solutions, including ‘best cost’.
5. Audit training processes by monitoring training methods and giving feedback on training areas that need to be improved.
6. Overseeing and managing employees and co-workers’ access to the company LMS and give regular updates to the Head of Learning and Development on the usage and engagement.
7. Responsible for ensuring that training programs are executed properly and at an accurate time, while also providing updates or reports to the Head of Learning and Development on the progress of programs.
8. Monitor various training activities and evaluate the effectiveness of programs.
9. Support in meetings with stakeholders to effectively assess training needs.
10. Communicating and discussing career-path opportunities with managers.
11. Assessing and measuring the results of training.
12. Ensuring that new employees undertake necessary and mandatory onboarding.
13. Support the Head of Learning and Development with Wellbeing programs.
Preferred skills and experience
1. Relevant qualification in Learning and Development is an advantage.
2. Experience in a Learning and Development position in a manufacturing environment.
3. Experience of working with a Learning Management System.
4. Active work in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
5. Fluency in English language.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
7. Team-player with a high level of personal integrity.
8. Ability to work effectively across all functions and all levels within the organisation.
9. Must be able to manage a varied workload of several projects concurrently.
10. Competent and experienced with the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team.
11. Effective time management and achievement of deadlines.
12. Accuracy and attention to detail.
13. Understanding of Automotive quality standards including IATF16949 would be desirable.
