Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and inspiring Teacher to join one of our SEN schools’ in South Bristol; within the Withywood area. Our team is passionate about enhancing learning and is always exploring new ways to elevate educational standards. Roles and Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver lessons that accommodate the diverse needs and abilities of students with special educational needs, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
* Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual learning styles and needs, using a variety of approaches to explain mathematical concepts.
* Regularly assess and monitor students' progress, using both formative and summative assessments, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
* Work closely with support staff, therapists, and other professionals to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that align with each student's learning goals.
* Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing updates on progress and involving them in their child's learning journey.
* Provide emotional support to students, helping them develop confidence, self-esteem, and social skills alongside their academic learning.
* Foster an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equality, ensuring all students feel valued and supported.
The successful candidate will:
* Be an outstanding practitioner with a passion for learning and a knowledge of the National Curriculum
* Have high expectations for all children, motivating and engaging them with the learning process
* Have the confidence to ensure the highest expectations of achievement and behaviour
* Have experience and understanding of the importance of tailoring learning expectations and delivery for children with SEND and SEMH needs
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Be able to use initiative and creativity whilst having a positive and flexible approach
* Be willing to contribute to the full life of the school
* Support leadership to develop inclusion in the curriculum across the school
* Be part of the ARP team of staff
* Have an understanding of the EHCP process
