We are looking for a highly motivated professional to fill the role of a Medical Research Administrator. Our research portfolio is expanding and we have a vacancy for a Research Administrator to join our busy unit. We deliver a wide range of research projects within the Division of Medicine in specialties like Dermatology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Stroke/Lipids, Hepatology, Respiratory, Sleep studies and Endocrinology. Main duties of the job The Medical Research Team works across all medical specialities to support a wide range of both commercial and non-commercial clinical trials, supporting patients and staff to take part in valuable research. The team work collaborative with all medical specialities and the post holder will have the opportunity to learn from a vast wealth of experience. The successful candidate will have excellent opportunity for self-development. Working closely with all members of the research teams the research administrator will provide trial management secretariat, reception duties and data handling service The post holder will be involved in all aspects of supporting the clinical teams throughout the trial process. The work requires initiative, accuracy and attention to detail. You will be in contact with a broad professional group, as well as members of the public; you will be expected to represent the Trust well at all times. All work will be carried out in accordance to the Clinical Trials Directive, ICH-GCP, Research Governance and local Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. Thus an in-depth knowledge of the requirements of these is necessary.
