Role Overview
We seek a forward-thinking Planning and Stock Control Manager to join our team. This pivotal hands-on role requires a keen analytical mind and detailed attention to manage our stock control functions, planning and production to meet our diverse customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Continue to develop our strategic stock control systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
2. Develop and maintain focused planning systems to ensure that our processes deliver a fantastic customer experience with our business.
3. Engage with the sales, customer experience, and supply chain teams to optimise stock levels that align with business objectives.
4. Plan and monitor the progress of incoming materials and on-site production to ensure lead times are minimised, and OTIF is maximised.
5. Monitor inventory variability, manage stock-take processes, initiating corrective actions to prevent and mitigate stock issues and discrepancies.
6. Ensure efficient flow of stock through our sites.
7. Prepare regular stock status reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
8. Support with customer and supplier stock queries.
9. Identify and implement opportunities to optimise warehouse operations, reduce lead times, and minimise waste.
10. Support the maintenance of a safe and tidy warehouse and attend and contribute to our Health & Safety forums.
Essential Skills And Qualifications
1. Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, and planning within a fast-paced, highly agile and dynamic operation.
2. High levels of accuracy and numeracy.
3. FLT operation experience is required, preferably with a current licence (although we can provide refresher training).
4. Analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.
5. Strong communication skills - working cross-departmental.
6. Proficient with ERP software and Excel.
