Trinity Business Support are currently working in partnership with our Halifax based client who are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer (Nights).
Our client is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of PVC products, supplying clients across the globe.
Due to an increase in business along with continued growth, our client is now looking to add this role to their ever-growing team based in Yorkshire.
Primary Role:
To ensure that all machines are maintained safely & efficiently in accordance with all relevant legislation and that the Company's legal responsibilities in regard of equipment installation & maintenance are fully complied with. Participates in operational projects across the site.
Carry out maintenance checks of equipment & day to day repairs, adjustments & improvements. To be responsible for carrying out Breakdown resolution, Planned Preventative Maintenance activities & working with the Lean ethos to ensure highest standards on machine condition.
Liaises with the production team to ensure that business requirements are satisfied by making sure that activities are carried out promptly & correctly. Implements improvements within the operation. As required installs, decommissions, recommissions, tests, etc capital equipment.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Deal with machine breakdowns to ensure that the site can maximize throughput and meet customer demand.
2. Reactive, proactive and planned maintenance across a wide range of factory equipment to support plant uptime.
3. Maintaining site services and facilities.
4. Responsible for new electrical and mechanical installations.
5. Focuses on saving cost on maintenance work and contributes to cost reduction initiatives.
6. To ensure that Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards are adhered to including the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.
Person Specification - Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
1. Strong practical and legal knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering/maintenance.
2. Level 3 electrical engineering qualification or equivalent.
3. Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
4. Knowledge of extrusion, mixing & blending machines is advantageous but not essential.
5. Know and can apply the techniques of Planned Preventative & Total Productive Maintenance to improve machine condition, improve product quality and reduce downtime.
6. Good oral and written communication skills.
7. Welding qualification/experience preferred but not essential (MIG & Stick).
8. Able to read engineering drawings.
9. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office packages.
Salary & Working Hours:
1. Monday to Friday
2. £48,000 per annum
