Bright Start Children’s Centre Services within Bath and North East Somerset are looking for a highly-committed Family Support Practitioner Level IV (Lead Family Support Worker) to cover a year’s maternity leave. They must be experienced in the delivery of project management to join our highly motivated and professional team.
About The Role:
This post sits within the ‘Early Help’ portfolio and working with other leads and Children’s Centre Co-ordinators, is responsible for:
* Ensuring the quality of learning opportunities for children aged 0-5 years who are accessing Children’s Centre services
* Leading on the delivery of Flying Start - Home Learning across Bright Start Children’s Centre Services
* The link person for the Early Years settings across Bath & North East Somerset
* Deputise for the Children’s Centre Coordinator in her absence
* Support the Childcare Practitioner ll (Early Years Practitioner)
* Support with Safeguarding decisions in the absence of the Coordinator
* Support the delivery of the Early Help triage
* Ensuring the health & safety of service users in Keynsham & Chew Valley Children & Family Centre. In the absence of a Coordinator
* Work with Families through Family Support. These families may be on a Child Protection or Child in need plan
* Work in partnership with other agencies to provide consistent support and positive outcomes for Children
Based in Keynsham Children & Family Centre, the successful applicant will be required to work with all agencies offering ‘early childhood’ services across Bath and North East Somerset.
About You:
You will have previous experience in working with children from complex families, project management, as well as in the support and supervision of staff (1:1). Furthermore, you will have the drive and passion to support the ongoing growth of this service.
