An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading provider of property services in the UK as an RCA Manager/Building Surveyor. This is a home-based role with occasional travel in the Midlands and North of London.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a national team of Reinstatement Cost Assessment (RCA) Surveyors.
* Undertake surveying and insurance activities, contributing to team success.
* Impart technical knowledge to the team, benefitting clients and customers.
* Support the Director of Surveying on highly technical or process-intensive projects.
* Ensure RCA reports comply with RICS regulations and best practices.
* Supervise and motivate the surveying team, ensuring excellent performance and customer care.
* Develop the team s capability and product offering, identifying business opportunities.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to improve service delivery and maintain strong client relationships.
What We're Looking For:
* MRICS qualified with significant technical building surveying experience, particularly in the Insurance and Property Management sectors.
* Strong experience in the RCA process and a solid understanding of the Residential Property Sector and related regulations (e.g. Section 20 process, CDM).
* Demonstrable project management skills with the ability to manage contractors and consultants effectively.
* A deep understanding of H&S regulations and surveying practices.
* Strong people management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels.
* Knowledge of insurance remediation works (fire, flood damage) and RCA/insurance industry experience would be advantageous.
Skills & Experience:
* RCA and Insurance industry experience.
* Project management and delivery skills.
* Experience with AOV s, Emergency Call Systems, and Fire Panels (desirable).
* Strong IT skills, including report writing and database management.
