Job responsibilities
The Histology Manager has the responsibility for the operational and strategic delivery of the Histology Services across the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and will help shape a high-quality service for the future as part of our Pathology Redesign Programme.
The service covers laboratories at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital and the North Devon District Hospital. The post holder will be based at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital site but is expected to spend on average at least 1 day a week at North Devon District Hospital.
You will work closely with the Pathology Service Manager, Clinical Lead for Cellular Pathology, Clinical Director for Pathology, and Divisional Management to provide high-quality, clinically and financially effective services.
You will be an HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with a Masters Degree (or equivalent) with proven experience as a manager as well as a management and leadership qualification.
This post will be ideal for someone who has a keen interest in providing leadership, operational management, and working in partnership with others.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
