We are seeking an Architectural Assistant (Part I completed) to join our chartered practice in Cardiff.
Based in our modern studio in central Cardiff 5 days per week, you’ll be part of a strong team dedicated to delivering ambitious and diverse projects.
As Part I Architectural Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our Cardiff studio. You will be the ambassador of Lawray to our clients and visitors, creating a lasting first impression while actively contributing to projects, research, and the smooth running of our studio.
With mentorship from our experienced team, you'll gain hands-on experience across diverse sectors and RIBA stages. This is the perfect role for someone who is looking to make a meaningful impact and shape their career in architecture.
Our studio

Architectural Responsibilities
* Support the delivery team, prepare and develop drawings and models using Revit, to meet client specifications.
* Assist with initial project research including the coordination of project details and building specifications.
* Oversee and coordinate deliverables from sub-consultants in line with project goals and timelines.
* Collaborate with the Communications Manager to craft compelling bids, presentations and marketing collateral as required.
Administrative Tasks
* Provide the studio with administrative support, answer the telephone, handle incoming and outgoing post, purchase supplies.
* Basic housekeeping tasks, maintain a professional, clean and tidy environment.
* Greet clients and visitors, provide refreshments and arrange lunch.
* Coordinate regional CPD in line with RIBA and ARB requirements.
* Maintain regional QA records including CSCS and PPE.

Requirements
* Strong technical skills and proficiency in Autodesk Revit (essential).
* Proven experience in similar role, highly organised and self-motivated.
* Excellent telephone manner, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
* Evidence of a good design understanding e.g. a good design portfolio.
