People Service Desk Administrator x 4
Great things come in fours. The Beatles, Olympic 4 x 100m relay, Seasons and soon to be the new Oasis People Service Desk Administration team.
And when onboarded, four new, amazing, customer obsessed administrators will form our brand-new service desk, ready to make an impact and help change lives.
The admin fab four will operate as the first line support and creative problem solvers for a wide range of people related queries. Working as a collaborative team sharing and resolving together, they will be there for our academies and central teams as a source of truth and clarity.
This is a great opportunity to be a part of a new team that will be the face (and voice) of HR for all colleagues across the Trust. It's an opportunity to learn, progress and become even more brilliant at what you do.
* A focus on wellbeing and personal development to help you thrive and grow
* The opportunity to be part of a network of Oasis charities offering opportunities to develop your career in new directions and locations
* A genuinely competitive salary and true flexibility to operate and contribute
* And of course, a positive and motivational environment set up to ensure everyone is supported and included
At Oasis we exist to enable everyone to fulfil their potential – regardless of background, circumstance or label. We are unashamedly proud of what we bring to the communities in which we operate. Our story is told through a multi-faceted organisation that extends across support for homelessness and housing (Oasis Community Housing), secure education for young people (Oasis Restore), community hubs (OCL) and human trafficking (Stop The Traffik) and of course our network of 52 Oasis Academies (Oasis Community Learning). We are proud that we don’t just talk a good game – we actively engage and change lives for the better.
We’re creating a new People Service Desk team as part of our mission to deliver an ever-improving support HR service to our network of 54 schools that is educating over 25,000 young people across the UK every week. As one of our People Service Desk Administrators, you’ll play a vital part in triaging and resolving first level queries ahead of any escalation. This is an opportunity to be an important contributor in our new team, but also to be part of an organisation that is playing a fundamentally key role in local communities across the UK.
There is a full job description attached but if you feel your expertise and experience would match the headlines below then we would love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
The People Service Desk Administrator will provide exceptional first line People support, acting as a point of contact for information and advice on People policies and procedures. Some of your core responsibilities will include:
* Provide day-to-day People-related support to employees and managers, escalating to Service Desk Advisors where necessary.
* Assist in the administration of employee lifecycle processes.
* Look to continuously improve People processes and service delivery, whilst getting involved with and supporting People projects and initiatives as appropriate.
* Maintain accurate, compliant and up-to-date employee records in the HR system and support system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.
* Coordinate and organise People-related events, training sessions, and meetings.
What we’re looking for
We want our People Service Desk team to create a truly exceptional customer experience, so we are seeking individuals who love helping sort problems and have patience, empathy and a sense of bonhomie.
To be successful you’ll have:
* Previous relevant experience in an administrative role; HR knowledge will be beneficial to be familiar with employment legislation and best practices in HR.
* A strong level of proficiency with IT systems including MS Office.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Exceptional organisational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and use initiative to find better ways of working.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
