Air Balloon Hill Primary School is looking to recruit an Administration Assistant to join our busy school office.
37 hours per week, Term-time Only. Hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (one day per week 8.30am-4pm - flexible with other members of the team). Flexible lunchbreak to fit within lunchtime cover requirements. Postholder is also required to attend training on two of the school's inset days.

Air Balloon Hill Primary School is looking to appoint a well-organised, reliable and competent person as an administration assistant to support our school’s administration team.
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in an administrative role, be enthusiastic, friendly and have strong communication skills.
We require someone who can confidently use Microsoft Office including Word and Excel and, ideally has previous experience of using mail-merge functionality within Microsoft Office as well as the capacity to learn how to use our pupil and staff database (Arbor).
Spoken and written language should be exemplary as well as the understanding for the need for confidentiality and careful management of personal data. This role will rely on strong administrative skills and experience to fully support administration at Air Balloon Hill Primary.
The post holder will work closely with the other members of the administration team, the School Business Manager and, members of the Senior Leadership Team. The role will involve regular communication with our parents and other stakeholders in a variety of ways including email, telephone, texts and letters, as well as callers in person to the school.
Duties will include:-
• Providing a professional, friendly and efficient first point of contact for parents, pupils, staff, visitors and contractors; dealing with and responding to enquiries received
• Collating and providing information including database, reports and statistical information accurately and in a timely manner for teachers, support staff and Senior Leaders as appropriate.
• Working with colleagues to support the intake of Reception pupils
• Taking responsibility for the collation of information from teachers for the annual school reports to parents.
• Use of School Management Information System (Arbor) as required
• Co-ordination of timetables for weekly music lessons
• Being responsible for responding to written, telephone and ‘face-to-face’ enquiries in a professional and timely manner – including emails to and from the school’s main email account
• Maintaining and updating the school website
• Preparing and circulating regular communication to parents and carers – examples may include the weekly school newsletter, letters from the Headteacher and reminders of events and activities
