Team Manager - Children's Safeguarding Team
Annual Salary: £48,474 - £51,515 + £2,000 retention payment.

We are seeking a Team Manager to lead a dedicated team of social workers in Oldham. This role is ideal for an experienced social worker looking to step up into a management position or a current Team Manager seeking a new challenge. The focus is on safeguarding children, supporting families in crisis, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality interventions.
Day-to-day of the role:
1. Manage and supervise a team of social workers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective service delivery.
2. Assess, plan, and implement interventions to safeguard children and support families.
3. Oversee the professional development of team members, including training and mentoring.
4. Ensure that children and young people’s needs are met through quality interventions.
5. Maintain high standards of practice within the team, adhering to policies and procedures.
6. Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to provide a coordinated response to the needs of children and families.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Qualified and experienced social worker.
2. Registered with Social Work England.
3. Previous experience as a Team Manager or a strong background in social work with readiness to step up to a managerial role.
4. Knowledge of safeguarding practices and legislation.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
7. Ability to handle a busy and varied workload effectively.
