The Division includes project and change managers, a PMO function, Business Analysts, Developers, DevOps and Enterprise Architecture. The Enterprise Architecture Team role is to develop and maintain a framework that will assist UKEK to align our strategy, processes, and technology to achieve our goals. The Enterprise Architecture function is critical for UKEF to proactively and holistically lead enterprise responses to disruptive forces by identifying and analysing the execution of change toward desired business visions and outcomes. Enterprise Architecture enhances customer value add by presenting business and IT leaders with signature-ready recommendations to achieve agreed business outcomes. Job description The Enterprise Architect is accountable for the management of UKEFs enterprise architecture, driving the vision, strategy and roadmaps from a business, technology, security and data perspective. This includes new developments in tooling and approaches to managing the digital and data estate. You will guide the organisation to make appropriate business, technology, and data decisions by recommending reuse, sustainability, and scalability, to achieve value for money and reduce risk. You will manage a team of architects, ensuring their work is strategically aligned and on track. You will have responsibility for the creation of policies, standards, and associated articles to ensure management of the enterprise and data architecture. This includes data models, data quality, data retention and data catalogues. You will develop and embed data quality monitoring and metrics to improve the data architecture and the quality of the data used and stored by UKEF. You will ensure our enterprise architecture supports our strategy with accountability for supporting the delivery of the Technology, Digital and Data Strategy, via the delivery of a robust enterprise architecture. You will partner with our senior leadership to drive technology strategies that integrate with the business strategy and simultaneously work across many streams to keep business change aligned with the technology strategy. As our Enterprise Architect you can contextualise the latest emerging thinking within UKEF. As the professional lead you will help to develop the next UKEF technical leaders. To achieve this, it is essential that you are positive, proactive and collaborative with a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Person specification The key responsibilities and deliverables for this post are working with your UKEF colleagues and customers to ensure that UKEF is able to meet evolving customer demand using a secure, scalable and robust enterprise architecture blueprint. The main activities will be: Lead the development of a robust and resilient enterprise architecture, encompassing data, service, business, security and solution architectures Architecture Ownership accountable for management and development of enterprise and data architecture, driving the digital, technology and data vision, in line with business priorities, achieving value for money and reducing risk. Architecture SME - supporting and advising UKEF senior management on the development of a future state architecture, aligned to strategy. Business Acumen - demonstrate a good understanding of business issues, events and activities, and their short to long term impact. Support the defining principles, patterns, standards, policies, roadmaps and vision statements. Standards and Documentation - responsible for the development of relevant polices, standards and catalogues. Data Quality accountable for data quality monitoring and metrics within the data architecture Data Retention accountable for the development, implementation and monitoring of the data retention policy, across the estate with UKEFs Knowledge Information Management function Data Storage and Footprint - accountable for the data footprint and identification and management of unstructured data with UKEFs Knowledge Information Management function. Business Relationships accountable for working with the business to capture processes, data sources, data flows and their requirements, ensuring they are aligned with the data architecture. Technology, Digital and Data Strategy Support accountable for supporting the delivery of the Strategy, via relevant work in the enterprise architecture area, including improvements in data management and technical data governance. Business Improvement accountable for the development and implementation of new approaches and tooling to support the development of the Data Architecture within UKEF. Project Support accountable for providing direction to new and existing IT projects in relation to Data Architecture and Data Management, supporting delivery at pace. Project Assessments accountable for managing and co-ordinating assessments, reports and projects related to improvements in Data Architecture and Data Management, including the introduction of new tooling. Data Auditing accountable for developing and managing a process to continuously audit data management system performance, liaising with stakeholders and senior management regarding issues that arise. Stakeholder Relationships develop the architecture community by managing stakeholder relationships within DDaT and the wider business in relation to Enterprise and Data Architecture. Professional Leadership leadership and management of a geographically dispersed team of architects, ensuring their work is strategically aligned and on track. Qualifications Relevant degree such as, Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent substantial experience.
