We currently have an opening for a JV Audit Assistant Manager/Manager to join our team. THE ROLE JV Audit Assistant Manager/Manager The key objectives are twofold; to support the JV Audit team and participate, periodically lead, in JV and Contract audits. Lead and participate in Joint Venture and Contract Audits; Support the JV Audit Directors and Senior Manager with all aspects of JV Audit & Contract management including but not limited to; Proposals & Quotes, Client Administration & Consultancy Agreements, Analysis of Data and Agreements (JOA, TPOSA etc…), Audit Planning and Scheduling, Liaison with Clients and Associates, Audit Scope and Report preparation and review, Budgeting, forecasting and billing. Proactively manage and control the delivery of all aspects of allocated JV or Contract audit assignments, including team management, billing process and client liaison, Work with Administration position to cover tasks such as invoicing and Associate management, Develop and maintain strong client relationships, establishing self as a key client contact, Input for accurate Business Reporting including monthly KPI's Sales Pipeline and CRM, Undertake ad-hoc specialist research and provide advice to clients and wider audit team, Promote the business externally, seek new business opportunities and identify opportunities for cross-selling to existing clients. Support Upstream Energy Business Development initiatives, including Presentations, attendance at industry forums and workshops. Main Tasks Manage the JV Audit workflow, is creative in identifying areas for improvement and takes a leading role in implementing change utilising existing platforms, Works flexibly to manage several assignments concurrently and ensures delivery to the client's satisfaction, Controls workflow, highlights issues with delivery and ensures Director and Senior Manager are kept informed as appropriate, Support administrative tasks efficiently and when required, Supports office policies and procedures and ensures they are adhered to. People Development Tasks Viewed as a role model, Keeps JV Director and Senior Manager adequately informed of progress on engagements and of potential problems requiring resolution suggesting solutions to issues arising, Ensure appropriate recording of chargeable time and monitors use of non-chargeable and agile time, Inputs to staff performance appraisals, provides honest and useful 360 feedback. Business Development Tasks Maintains close contact with JV Director and clients throughout the year including attending client and other industry meetings, Develops and maintains strong lasting relationships with clients, Identifies opportunities for cross-selling the services of the firm to existing and new client base, Identifies where firm is exposed to risk or where it can operate more efficiently and improves procedures/ addresses training requirements, Takes a leading role and acts as a role model in the implementation of change, Actively promotes self and firm as experts in the marketplace, by delivering a top quality service to existing clients and seeking new business opportunities and acting on securing any leads for further work, Organises/attends networking and client entertaining events, Develops network of relationships with other professional contacts and obtains referrals for work. Requirements to perform successfully in this role Required Professional qualifications and education Qualified/ Part-Qualified accountant (applications will be considered from those "qualified through experience", minimum 5 -years) Required experience: Experience in an Upstream Finance environment, Experience of participating in, and preferably leading, Joint Venture and Contract Audits, Experience in managing projects. Required knowledge and skills: Detailed knowledge of Upstream Oil & Gas accounting and allocation systems/ methodologies, Detailed knowledge of SOAPs, Detailed knowledge of commercial arrangements and agreements (JOA, TPOSA), Working knowledge of Upstream accounting software, Organisational skills, Analytical skills, Problem solving skills, Proficient in excel and audit software tools, Written communication skills, Verbal communication skills.
