This school is seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students and teachers in delivering high-quality education. The successful candidate will provide classroom support, assist with student learning, and help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. This role begins March 2025. Secondary Teaching Assistant Duties: Support teachers in delivering lessons across various subjects. Work with small groups or individual students who need extra support. Assist with lesson planning, classroom organisation, and resource preparation. Manage student behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes. Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL). Supervise students during break times, school trips, or extracurricular activities. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and engagement. Ideal Secondary Teaching Assistant: Experience working with secondary school students (desirable but not essential). A passion for education and supporting young people. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies as a Secondary Teaching Assistant.
