About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Channel Marketing & Planning Manager to manage a portfolio of strong brands, including one of the UK’s most iconic – Magners Irish Cider. Our cider and beer portfolio is the core driver of our business, featuring brands such as Tennents, Orchard Pig, Menabrea & Heverlee and this role is pivotal in driving brand success. Working across grocery, convenience, wholesale, and international export channels you will be responsible for developing and executing channel marketing plans that align with brand strategy and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the UK Off-Trade and International channel planning process, ensuring strategic alignment with commercial goals.
* Lead below-the-line customer marketing strategies to drive brand equity and business performance.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate annual trade activation plans.
* Manage one direct report – Channel Marketing & Planning Executive.
* Ensure customer and consumer engagement strategies strengthen brand equity and long-term value.
As Channel Marketing & Planning Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing trade marketing plans for key brands within the C&C UK & International portfolio. Working across both direct and third-party distribution networks, you will ensure these plans meet both customer and consumer needs, supporting C&C’s broader vision.
Key Accountabilities:
* Channel Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear UK Off-Trade and International channel strategy for key brands, ensuring alignment across all direct and intermediary sales teams.
* Channel Architecture: Define where to play and how to win within the UK Off-Trade and International markets, working closely with Innovation and Brand teams to recruit new consumers and drive profitable growth.
* Stakeholder Management: Lead and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies, distributors, suppliers, and senior commercial teams, ensuring seamless execution of trade marketing initiatives.
* BTL Channel Planning: Develop and execute the annual UK Off-Trade and International below-the-line (BTL) marketing plan, engaging customers and consumers while driving conversion in line with brand strategy.
* Performance & ROI Tracking: Establish clear KPIs and performance measures for all BTL activities, ensuring rigorous evaluation and data-driven recommendations to optimize impact and return on investment.
* Sales Alignment: Work closely with UK and International sales teams to align trade marketing strategies with sales objectives, ensuring commercial success.
* Customer & Joint Business Planning: Develop and tailor compelling brand sell-in plans for key customers, collaborating with commercial teams to create joint business plans that maximize opportunities, strengthen relationships, and enhance partnerships with key UK and International off-trade accounts.
* Commercial Insights: Partner with finance and sales teams to analyse commercial performance, identify growth opportunities, and recommend strategic actions to drive revenue and profit.
* Market & Trend Analysis: Continuously monitor UK and international market trends, identifying new business opportunities and refining marketing strategies accordingly.
