We have a new opportunity for a CCTV Team Leader who will be responsible for the CCTV Surveillance service for the London Borough of Hackney. You will play a big part in the operation, gathering intelligence and evidence to help reduce disorder in the Borough. What you will be doing: Supervising, motivating and leading a team of CCTV Operators, monitoring their performance and quality of work Making sure that the integrity and confidentiality of all information gained is secure at all times Operating surveillance equipment ethically and in line with training, policy and procedures Observing, monitoring and operating CCTV Cameras and related equipment, and when needed, direct policy officers, by radio to real time incidents Identifying, reporting and recording anything suspicious Making sure all equipment is functioning correctly, and carrying out equipment checks as needed What we are looking for: Previous experience of leading and managing a large team, ideally in a control room environment Full Clean UK Driving License Ability to communicate with customers, often in difficult and demanding circumstances Familiarity with the relevant Data Protection Act, CCTV Codes of Practice and other relevant legislation. You will be working an average of 42.5 hours per week including weekends and nights 4 days on 4 days off. What’s in it for you?
