Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location & Hours
Location: Brighton/Home Hybrid Working, with occasional site visits in the South East
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week; however, Southern Water offers a flexible working policy.

1. Salary: up to £58,000 depending on skills and experience

Job Overview
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering outline designs for complex and ground-breaking wastewater & water innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable solutions. Working with new technologies, water recycling plants.
Innovation will be a key part of your role and you will be involved in evaluating and trialling new products to the industry. We will develop you to become an expert in an engineering area, so you not only become the company’s technical specialist, but also a national expert and partake in the formulation of national standards.
About You
Qualifications: HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Chartered Engineer with IMechE, or working toward Chartered status
Experience: A solid background in mechanical design for water projects in the UK Water Industry
Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive innovation and manage complex engineering challenges.
Full driving licence
