Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to manage play activities effectively. This role is crucial in fostering children's development through play while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
* Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to build positive relationships.
* Manage behaviour in a constructive manner, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas and equipment.
* Drive children to various locations as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on the children's best interests.
Qualifications
* Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Leadership qualities to inspire and guide children during activities.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles is desirable.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties.
* A passion for working with children and contributing positively to their development.
