Job Summary
Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) is a global hotel company with properties located in major cities and four continents under The Langham Hotels and Resorts, Cordis Hotels and Resorts and Ying'nFlo brands. It is the hospitality arm of Great Eagle Holdings, a leading property development company in Hong Kong.
Position Overview
Langham Hospitality Group aims to further expand into the luxury branded residential sector, initially focusing on The Langham brand. This position involves a range of responsibilities centered on establishing branded residences standards and includes key accountability for identifying and evaluating potential projects and owners globally as part of the global development team.
The role will contribute to defining and executing the branded residences development strategy, implementing necessary policies and procedures, conducting thorough project analyses, structuring business deals, negotiating contracts, and securing internal approvals. Additionally, it involves overseeing projects through to their successful completion and opening.
This role will operate with high visibility alongside senior corporate executives, ensuring strategic alignment and effective execution of initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
General and Strategic
* Collaborate with the executive team to understand the company's strategic priorities
* Coordinate with internal departments (Design, Finance, Marketing, and Brand) to define Langham's unique positioning for The Langham Branded Residences
* Identify and evaluate growth opportunities for branded residences
* Build relationships to capitalize on deal flow
* Conduct due diligence and present opportunities
* Monitor industry trends and represent Langham at luxury events
* Implement the budget and marketing plan for branded residences
Development
* Establish procedures for reviewing and approving branded residences projects.
* Maintain a network to generate potential projects
* Generate and convert leads aligned with branded residences strategies
* Produce regular internal development status reports
* Negotiate terms with owners, leading to Heads of Terms or Letters of Intent
* Work with legal teams to draft relevant agreements
* Ensure compliance with Langham’s standards throughout negotiations
* In cooperation with internal legal colleagues, instruct external solicitors for drafting management and related agreements for branded residences
* Negotiate various documents through to completion, ensuring alignment with Langham’s standards and expectations for branded residences
Requirements:
Working Experience
* Minimum 7-10 years of experience in hospitality development, real estate, or a related field, with a focus on branded residences or luxury real estate
* Proven track record of identifying and executing successful branded residences projects, including managing contracts and negotiations
* Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Design and Technical Services, Finance, Marketing, and Brand) to drive project success and define unique selling propositions
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with owners, investors, and stakeholders in the luxury hospitality sector
* Experience in conducting market analysis and due diligence to inform strategic decisions and project evaluations
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in business, hotel management, or a related field; MBA holder is preferred
