The Facilities & Operations Manager will take the lead management responsibility for overseeing the campus facilities and ensuring that the fabric and functioning of the buildings, facilities, furnishings and equipment are maintained and well cared for and provide a safe, healthy and comfortable living, learning and working environment for young people and GSC colleagues. As Facilities & Operations Manager you will take the lead management responsibility for a team of control room staff and will be responsible for operational functioning, maintenance, security, health and safety, and all other technical aspects of the secure and close support unit, in order to support high quality care and education. You will also manage a team of Maintenance Workers. You will ensure that the work is in keeping with legislative, organisational, and procedural requirements, and current good practice and guidance. You will lead and supervise individuals and the team to achieve agreed work plans and objectives, and ensure appropriate opportunities are given to enable individuals to maximise performance. You will be confident in using computerised systems for security, fire and building management. You will possess excellent communication skills, be flexible and have the ability to interact positively with staff and visitors.
