Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Middlesbrough
Contract: Initial 6 months
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (combination of remote and office-based work)
Hays are currently recruiting for a meticulous and dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join a client based in Middlesbrough on an initial 6-month contract. This role offers a competitive salary and the flexibility of hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing and managing invoices and payments
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records
Assisting with month-end closing activities
Communicating with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries
Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as requiredRequirements:
Proven experience in an accounts payable role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
