As a General Hospital Porter at our Nuffield Health Manor Hospital, you’ll need to be a good communicator, as this role involves helping our patients to feel relaxed and reassured, before and after surgery. Responsibilities Manage waste streams (clinical, domestic, recycling, special) Carry out security checks (early morning opening, evening lockdown, and ad hoc) Control access to the basement car park Manage patient transfers between departments Manage both internal and external post (including recording of postal use by on-site third parties) Maintain the external environment to a high standard (including the basement car park) To support the Head Porter and Facilities Manager to ensure that the third party facilities providers are delivering to the agreed levels of service.
