Duties and Responsibilities
The busy team is looking for an executry paralegal to join them, based in Aberdeen. Working as part of the established team, the successful applicant will have access to an interesting and varied caseload. The ideal candidate will have experience in executry administration, and a paralegal or Society of Law Accountants in Scotland (SOLAS) qualification is welcomed, but not essential.
* Investigating assets forming part of the estate and gathering details of these.
* Preparing Confirmation applications and Inheritance Tax paperwork.
* Correspondence and communications with HM Revenue and Customs.
* Preparing executry accounts.
* Preparing other relevant documentation, including Deeds of Variation.
* Comply with the company’s GDPR requirements.
* Adhering to IT use policy.
Skills and Experience
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload, seeking advice when required.
* Accountable for meeting deadlines and maintaining appropriate communication with the client.
* The ability to work well under your own initiative, whilst also working as part of a team.
