Exciting Opportunity: SPAR Customer Team Member
As a Customer Team Member at SPAR, you will play a vital role in supporting our store management and creating a positive customer experience. Your responsibilities include maximizing sales and profit by carrying out assigned tasks, contributing to the store's continuous improvement, and ensuring excellent customer service through ‘Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food for later and Food for now!’

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
* Greeting customers warmly and welcomingly.
* Answering inquiries about products and services, assisting customers in finding items.
* Processing purchases efficiently and accurately at the tills, maintaining friendly service.
* Upselling products and highlighting offers to maximize sales.
Store Operations:
* Managing stock: checking deliveries, stocking shelves, maintaining cleanliness, rotating stock for freshness.
* Completing tasks such as date checking, stock and gap checks, price updates, and promotional displays.
* Adhering to company policies, procedures, and processes.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
* Previous experience in a similar retail role is preferred.
* Reliability and attention to detail in following instructions.
* Understanding of retail legislative responsibilities and compliance.
* Ability to contribute ideas for customer service and business improvement.
* Experience with ‘Challenge 25’ policy is desirable.
* Keen, enthusiastic, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Cash handling experience is a plus but not essential.
