About ETS Yorkshire:
We are seeking to appoint a full time Training Supervisor to deliver admin and business provision to young people aged 16-24.
Barnardo's Employment, Training and Skills Yorkshire is a Work Based Learning Provider based in Bradford. From this service we provide learning and skills programmes for young people aged 14-24 including: 16-19 Study Programmes Apprenticeships, including those delivered to our staff team across England and corporately funded employer recruitment programmes.
Our aim is to engage, motivate and support young people to achieve qualifications, progress and secure sustained positive destinations such as further education or employment to improve their own life chances and provide a positive future.
About you:
Passionate interest in the Business and Administration sector
Have a high level of self-confidence and ability to manage a classroom in a demanding teaching environment.
Understand NEET learners and challenges they face in post 16 education.
Have a teaching qualification of level 3 or higher.
Have an Business and Admininstration related qualification at a minimum L3
Have an IQA qualification (desirable)
About the role and specific responsibilities:
Main duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Develop and ensure quality delivery of all Business and Admin qualifications on all learning programmes that enable young people to achieve and progress into a positive destination including an Apprenticeship, Further Education or sustainable employment.
Undertake a robust assessment to identify young people's needs, appropriate levels and record progress of achieved towards their goals.
Organising and conducting work placements for young people.
Support the organisation and delivery of monthly Enrichment, including trips.
To ensure the highest possible standard of service delivery through the maintenance and monitoring of individualised learning programmes. This will include the planning and conducting of 1-2-1 progress reviews
To meet the highest possible standard of service delivery required following OFSTED guidelines through the development, maintenance and monitoring of tailored training programmes.
Offer relevant and appropriate learning to young people with a range of learning needs, in order to increase their confidence and employability.
Offer appropriate support and learning to all learners to enable them to succeed in a vocational setting, achieve their learning aim and progress positively in their chosen career.
Have regular communication with partners/parents regarding the progress of the young people we are supporting.
