An opportunity is available for an Operator (Stores) based in Bristol.
As an Operator (Stores), you may be involved in carrying out routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of tools and PPE, assisting with the maintenance of stores, and with the inspection of network assets as required. All necessary training will be provided.
To apply, you will need to hold English & Maths GCSE (1-9/G-A*) or equivalent qualification deemed to be at the same level in these subjects, such as Functional Skills.
Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment.
Main Responsibilities
The working environment requires quick, decisive, and responsible thinking and actions to meet the demands of the role. You will need to be flexible in your approach to assist the team in meeting its objectives.
Ideal Candidate
Ideally, you will hold a license to drive an LGV up to category C and already be trained to drive a Fork Lift Truck. You will be able to work under your own initiative in a safety-critical environment. Support will be provided to obtain any missing requirements that the successful candidate will be expected to obtain.
You will need to be mobile throughout the area; therefore, a full driving license is required, and you may be required to undertake out-of-hours standby duties as and when necessary to meet business needs.
Operationally, we require you to live within approximately 30 minutes of the depot you are applying for.
