About the Role The Traffic & Flood Risk Management Service area seeks to deliver an excellent customer focused service in an efficient, effective, and economic manner, with specific focus of the Council’s role as the Highway Authority whilst adhering to Corporate, Departmental and Government priorities. The Technical Officer - Highway Licensing & Streetworks role's primary purpose is to support the Highway Network Management team in the administration and management of highways and streetworks licenses. Working under the direction of the Principal and Technical Lead roles, the Technical Officer will assist with carrying out the duties mentioned above helping to co-ordinate works and activities on the Nottingham City highway network. We are looking for a proactive and efficient individual, who can put citizens and customers first and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders. They must also be organised and have good communication skills to ensure that the outputs of the service area are maintained to professional standards. About You The ideal candidate will have: A good level of IT knowledge and skills including Microsoft Office Good communication skills for all forms of communication The capability to work as part of a team and on their own with minimal supervision as required.
